Oh my! My heart is singing a happy tune! For the past few months I've been searching for the perfect table for the small space between the chair with the ottoman and the fireplace. I wanted the table to have curvy legs and being vintage would be a plus.
For the rest of this post I'm going to refer to the table as a she because she is oh so feminine and adds the perfect touch to my cottage style living room.
Kensie, the little photo stealer is peeking around the tv console.
See that blue table in the distance?
Isn't she lovely? Notice how well her color blends with the blue in the round plank style mirror above the chair.
This is a vintage Mersmen table. These tables are pretty common so they don't fetch a large price. Can you imagine my surprise when I found her in a corner of a booth at the Towne Peddler? I was instantly smitten!
She was the perfect size, style and color! Her price was marked $59.00 which was a bit more money than I had.
So....I approached the counter and asked the clerk if she would take $45.00? She called the dealer and she said yes! My heart was pounding with excitement.
Do you get this excited when you find the perfect item for your home? I'm telling you, I have a serious shopping addiction that needs to be curbed soon!
The best part of finding this table is that she already wears the perfect hue, duck egg blue Annie Sloan paint.
I love the pie crust top.
Yes, I'd say this table is perfectly me. A great place to sit by the fire with my favorite beverage, book or magazine.
The best part! She adds just a pop of color and she matches some of my pumpkins!
This is the table that used to occupy this spot. I moved this table to the finished basement where it will be perfect for the man cave. After all, this is a more masculine table.
I'm waiting for the installer from J.C. Penny's to come to add the finishing touch to my living room makeover. Come back later for the surprise.
Thanks for stopping by. I'd love to hear from you.
