Hello,
Thanks for stopping by! I love having visitors. Is everyone getting ready for the holidays?
Nothing like a holiday party for motivation. Mr. Delightful and I are having a gathering at our house this Saturday so we're tweaking and painting a few things around the Eclectic Abode and it's simply delightful!
If you visited before, you've heard me mention many times how I would love to get rid of the red accent wall in the living room (hasn't happened yet) and how I would love to paint the fireplace mantel. Hubs and I have been busy doing a little mini makeover at the Delightful Eclectic Abode. I'm only going to show you a couple of projects today.
My awesome husband painted the fireplace mantel a couple of days ago.
I decided to keep everything white so it would pop against the red wall. We all love to see a before and after photo to really appreciate the power of paint don't we?
Take a look at the BEFORE PICTURE.
Quite a difference don't you think?
We absolutely love the transformation! The pictures really don't do it justice. I tried my best to talk my husband into getting rid of the accent wall, but there is too much to do before Saturday and believe me, we don't need any added stress.
This year I decided to use fresh greens around the house and I absolutely love the look and the smell!
Isn't this wreath pretty? I purchased it from a booth at a place in Livonia Michigan called The Town Peddler. It's the same place where hubby purchased my vintage china cabinet.
Okay.... one more project.
Last year we updated one of our little bathrooms by painting and adding some new towels and accessories. We also re-grouted the shower. Total cost of the transformation about $200.00.
I never really liked the door in the bathroom so we purchased an inexpensive door at Lowe's and decided to go bold with paint.

The walls are actually a beautiful shade of apple green. The photo makes the color look a lot lighter.
Quite a transformation don't you think? Don't you just love the power of paint? Look out folks! I'm on a painting frenzy and I'm painting all kinds of things!
I don't know if anyone will be wowed! But if you could see my mantel in person you might be. Today I'm linking to Kim's place at Savvy Southern Style. Trust me.....she's pretty savvy so pop on over and be "wowed" with inspiration!
I'm also linking up to Brenda's Cozy Little House, Tweak it Tuesday. Please stop by to say hello and visit some other creative bloggers. Brenda has a fabulous blog and there is always something new and creative going on at her place.
I'm also linking up at Emily's from 52 Mantels. She's having a Christmas Mantel party so stop by for some inspiration! She's very creative and has her hand in many different projects. There is some great inspiration if you are challenged when it comes to decorating your mantel.
I hope you'll stop by again really soon.
