Welcome to the Delightful Eclectic Abode.
Today I'm linking to Claudia's Mockingbird Hill Cottage A Favorite Thing Saturday. Notice it says "A Favorite Thing" Well, I can never narrow things down to one favorite so today I'm going to show you a whole lot of favorite things. Pop on over for a visit, trust me, you won't be disappointed.
While you're at it, say hello to some other bloggers and link-up if you'd like. By the way, she's going to have a cyber Flannel P.J. party in January. Doesn't that sound fun and cozy? She even created a little button for the club.
Recently, I retired to a new chapter in my life. Mr. Delightful and I have been busy tweaking the decor in our home until I begin life as a student. As a lifelong learner, I'll always be learning whether an official student or a student of life.
In the meantime.......there is a little creature lurking in my kitchen
Could it be a little mouse?
Isn't he cute? A friend included him on the appetizer that she brought to our holiday gathering last week.
Our hearth...
New console for our television set. I had a huge traditional style entertainment center that closed the room off. I donated my old one to the Salvation Army. I hope someone will enjoy it as much as we did. This opens the room up and I love the shuttered doors.
A furniture store in our area closed because the owner is retiring. We got a great price on this piece.
Love the lamp base and the Hobby Lobby cathedral mirror.
Kensie and Kayla. They aren't too happy about having their picture taken this year.
A little bling for the chandelier and a new mirror in the kitchen. It's an old antique that I purchased for $34.00. It came with the little garland, vintage card and French writing on it. It's erasible paint.
Ribbon and white paint for my kitchen lamp.
Paint and a new seat cushion for a pair of chairs found at the curb. This was my first experience with Annie Sloan Chalk paint (ASCP). I'll write about this experience in a post next week.
Oh how I love the power of paint!
I hope you enjoyed your visit and that you will be a frequent guest. I love having visitors and comments are always appreciated.
