Wandering aimlessly and moving in a direction with no plan in mind. I love to meander. Although it may look like I'm wandering aimlessly, my whole body, mind and being are engaged in keen observation. A feeling of contentment and peace wash over me as I connect with the visual beauty of everything around me.
No agenda.....no plans....just being present in the moment and capturing it all with a click of a digital SLR.
Experimenting with photography and learning to use the manual controls on the camera is fun when I don't have to worry about the cost of developing film. What a difference it makes when using a tripod and creating a long exposure.
There is so much to learn....
I'm using Picmonkey to edit my photos. It's extremely easy and fun.
There is a plan........to create a page called "Meandering Photography" This will be a space to share my photography adventures. I love black and white photos and urban photography so I'll share a lot of different types of photos.
Stay tuned..........
Learning to go with the flow and not buy into the frantic pace of agendas, plans, productivity, efficiency and the message of packing more into each and every day. We each have our own pace and rhythm.....
I'm learning to honor my pace. "To thine own self be true" These are wise words. Of course there are objectives to meet in the working world but at this time of my life, my pause button is on more frequently. Moving to my own inner rhythm. Noticing when my chest tightens and my heart rate races.......slowing down.
Learning to ask for what I need in a loving way.........and noticing when others are not doing the same with me........gently letting them know that my pace isn't their pace and having a conversation about how to honor each person's needs while still respecting and not compromising my own.
The delicate dance of connection and relationships.....it's not easy to juggle all of life's demands.
When I allow myself to be triggered by another person's frantic energy.....
I get frantic and can't focus. When I pause.....and connect with my bodies wisdom.....I center and move through the day with more presence.........
and that allows me to accomplish things in a beautiful natural way.
